Restoration Reefs from Rink2Reef are constructed by volunteer, civic and youth organizations as a means to give back to the community and the waterways to which they live. Reefs are designed to be suspended off docks just above the seafloor level to promote optimal spat set and oyster growth. Reefs are minimal maintenance, only required to be shaken within the water quarterly to remove any fowling which would cease spat settings and oyster growth.
